The
motivational force for my work is nature which
provides me a timeless spiritual beauty. Nature
transcends all human boundaries and provides an
intangible connection to the earth and to God.
Watercolor
provides me with a small opportunity to explore
that link. Transparent watercolor captured my
heart the first time I tried it in 1988. Since
that time I have been learning ways to utilized
the natural world as a meaningful metaphor in
my paintings. Art is a means in which you learn
about yourself and your surroundings. Being an
artist isn't a destination, its a journey. This
never-ending lifetime journey is also as individual
as each of us and, in reality, it is a search
for ourselves.
